We have a name for the house! From henceforth it shall be known as Orchard Prairie, or The Orchard for short. It came from a conversation we had about what we would like to do with the yard (which is fairly good sized). We hope to plant a garden and fruit trees in one section, and xeriscape the rest with the native prairie plants. Therefore, Orchard Prairie it is. We're planning on modeling the house and yard in SketchUp after we move in and making the upgrades in there, so (at least in theory) we will be posting renderings of the dream eventualities of the house. The closing date has moved, by the way, but we will still be in by the end of the month.
And while we're on the subject of contacting! I understand that there are a few friends out there who are unable to contact us because our phone number and email address are not listed here. There is an easy reason for that, and that is we don't want annoying bots or whatnot to get such information. But we love you, so we'll "encode" the info. You can either contact us by writing to our domain name (that would be tonksfam) at gmail dot com, or calling mob-01ke with a Montana area code. Ha! This sure looks strange. I hope you can read it! So, SARAH! CALL ME!!!
We went to a museum last Friday to see the results of a local architecture competition that Rob meant to enter into but never found time to. It was a Habitat for Humanity design that was supposed to focus on sustainability while still fitting within the Habitat budget. It was a very interesting exhibit! Though Nate wanted something a little more...tangible? Hands on? In mouth? He didn't last long in the exhibit itself, but we thought it was neat :)
Wow, this is a random news post with no pictures! So to make it more interesting and cute, here is a picture of Nate wearing his Grandma blanket.
